Forgiving and easy to use, they allow for both very fine hairlines and big, fat ink swells.
Dip the nib in freshly-boiled water before first use, to remove the protective coating left over from manufacturing, then rub dry with a tissue or paper towel. This will ensure smooth, easy ink flow.
