ORIGINAL OWNED BY MY DAD
When my Dad said this to me off the cuff a few years ago I thought, I have to turn that into a piece of artwork sometime. For Christmas Eve I needed something warm that everyone can relate to at a terribly challenging time in terms of global events.
And then I looked at all of the ink colours I'd used, and thought of Dad's quote - and it all came together. I deployed all of the calendar inks in this one, joyful piece! A truly inclusive piece for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
A3 size. Print will differ very slightly from original due to the restrictions of scanning and colour reproduction - for example, anything made with sparkling inks will not sparkle - but the vibe will remain intact.
These original, one-off pieces of art were created on a daily basis from my Inkvent Calendar in December 2023, a countdown to Christmas containing 25 newly-created coloured inks found behind every window.
